The Prince of Shadows

'The Prince of Shadows' is the longest work of fiction that I have created to date other than fan fiction which cannot be published for copyright reasons.  This work is by far the most substantial as my first full length novel.

I chose to revisit the themes of self discovery and exploration through the story of Arcadis Visser, a young gay man half in the closet half out of it, who wanted nothing more than to escape.  The story explores what it would be like if you really did get what you wanted, in every way.

'256' also known as 'Room 256' was the first work that I created that was specifically targeted at a mature audience.  As a gay man I wanted to venture further into LGBT storytelling in particular and '256' offered me a way to do this.  In part erotic fiction, in part a greater narrative, '256' serves as an exploration of existential doubt.

The story follows a young man named Sebastian who awakens with no idea where he is or even who he is, this was my first attempt to broach the theme of self discovery in a literal context.  This was a theme I would later return to with greater depth.  '256' serves mostly as a proof of concept, a prototype for a future work that developed this idea in much greater depth.

Forgotten Dreams

My first published work was titled 'Forgotten Dreams' it was available via Amazon.  This was the first work that I published via Amazon.  It started out life as a writing project for a blog I ran called Gaydream Believer.  I asked friends, family, and readers, to give me three things, three nouns to be exact, the name of a person, a place, and an object.

With those three things I set out to write stories that captured the imagination and reflected to an extent, the personalities of those who made the submissions.
